One Life at a Time, Inc is an 501(c) (3) non-profit organization created to improve the quality of education and healthcare in India. One Life at a Time is a support organization for One Life at a Time, NGO based out of Haryana, India. Established in 2012, One Life at a Time aims to combat the suppression of women and encourage women empowerment in rural areas and slums through two modalities: education and healthcare.
True to its name, it is One Life at a Time’s goal to make a difference with each child and is one of the few organizations of it’s kind, boasting a near 0% administrative percentage, meaning 100% of what is donated is directed used to create an impact. This is made possible due to various policies and strategies adopted by the organization based off the philosophy that humanitarian aid is for the good of society and not a business or profit model, thus all volunteers and supporters and administration are unpaid volunteers.
One Life At A Time’s mission is to improve the quality of life of the girls and women in India through education. One Life At A Time’s purpose is to make sure that the students aren’t just another roll number, they are actively encouraged to pursue their studies with help every step of the way. By working with the local community, parents, teachers and the students we aim to target the areas where government school is not yet accessible.
One Life At A Time hopes that by instituting these changes on a state level, they will build the infrastructure that will allow changes on a national level.
